Service maintenance

When we develop projects at all levels, we provide the following services for the supplied machinery:

  • installation supervision;
  • commissioning;
  • putting machinery into operation;
  • operation training of the customer’s personnel.

Unimatic’s highly experienced engineers engage on the daily basis in the technical support of the existing projects. For that purpose we opened a department working with our regular customers in 2008. This allows to provide more effectively:

  • service warranty and post-warranty maintenance;
  • support during operation life;
  • prompt delivery of spare parts.

In case the customer has questions regarding the supplied machines, our service center studies and analyzes every request, determines possible reasons of failures and makes decisions. Within a short time our service team gets to the site and solves the customer’s issue. We try to come the next day after receiving a request for urgent repair even to our most remote customers.

Retrofitting

Arinstein (Germany) is our strategic partner in retrofitting and refurbishment of the machinery. Arinstein’s factory in Berlin has production site and central design department, which realized more than 50 retrofitting projects over last 15 years, including upgrading Heckert, Heid, Georg Fischer, Niles, Maho, Ivanovo Machine-Building Plant machines. 

Arinstein has proved its professional experience above all in the profound technical upgrading. When working on the project, we replace 75% of the machinery units: CNC system, electrics, electric equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, ball screws and rubber goods. Thus, the customer saves from 40 till 60% of the cost for the new machine of similar type.

Arinstein applies only the most advanced hardware components of the leading manufacturers: Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, Parker, Hawe, Lapp, Igus, RSF, Sauter, Flender, etc. Location of the factory in Germany allows to contact directly with European companies – manufacturers of the machines subject to retrofitting and their legal successors, so that we could purchase exclusive components and units.

Installation supervision and commissioning of equipment

Many companies often offer only partial retrofitting: either replacing CNC, or electrics, or reconditioning other machine units. However, experience shows that reconditioned components (such as hydraulic pumps, hydraulic valves, etc.) have limited life time, they are used only as a temporary, emergency solution and in future require to be replaced. The other downside of such retrofitting is lack of spare parts for future maintenance, because many old parts go out of production. Therefore Unimatic offers to the customers a deeper technical refurbishment of the machinery.

We start cooperation when the customer specifies technical requirements and desired results of technical refurbishment and retrofitting. Unimatic’s specialists estimate technical condition of the equipment, confirm with the customer retrofitting project, the cost and scope of services. Retrofitting may include the following stages:

  • full disassembly of the machine;
  • listing defects;
  • repair and replacement of wear parts;
  • fine milling followed by scraping of guideways;
  • inspection and repair of gear box;
  • reconditioning of spindles;
  • replacement of ball screws;
  • inspection and repair of ATC, clamping devices and tool fixtures;
  • retrofitting of electrical equipment, electrical cabinets, and control panels according to VDE;
  • replacement of cables, CNC and drives;
  • installation of new hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication system, coolant unit, replacement of all bearings and gland seals;
  • painting of the machine;
  • increasing technological capabilities of the machine.
